Inauguration

Well it's here. The internet has arrived. I'm starting a blog. A 'web log' in long hand so I'm led to believe.

I have no idea why I'm starting a blog. Well that's a lie. It's all due to a recent thread started by my other half on a message board a few days back asking "Do you blog?"

No, I don't. Maybe I should. Should I? Why should I? Christ knows.

Anyway it's free, and I have an over inflated opinion of my ability to convey the written word so this is it. My first blog. My only blog.

If you're reading this, I can only assume that my blog has gone on to garner critical acclaim among Internet types. My opinions on the world around me have obviously captured the imaginations of thousands, Sunday newspapers are begging me for a weekly column and you, dear reader, wanted to see where it all began.

If none of the above is true of course, then this has been a rather pointless waste of 10 minutes of my life.
